About De Jager Clinical Research

Via MBO, HBO, the Universities of Oxford and Utrecht, I completed my studies with a Master's degree in 'Cancer Genomics & Developmental Biology' and 'Science Communication'. After my studies I knew that I would like to work in the pharmaceutical industry to contribute to the development of new medicines and to be closer to the patients themselves.
I have worked at several companies: a large pharmaceutical company, a pharmaceutical-biotechnology company and a number of 'Clinical Research Organizations' (CROs), in the positions of Clinical Research Associate (CRA), Lead CRA, Drug Safety Assistant, Clinical Team Lead and Clinical Operations Liaison and further as trainer and coach. With all the experience I gained, I started “De Jager Clinical Research” (DJCR) in November 2017.

Alike de Jager

My passion is clinical research into the effect and effectiveness of a product and also working with different people and cultures, where it is important to use the right knowledge and methods at the right time. I am driven to make high quality studies run smoothly from start to finish by being the link between different departments within a company and with companies outside the company. I like to support and motivate a team to work together within the timelines.

I am enthusiastic, flexible, clear and dare to take a leap of faith. Working with different cultures is very nice, but despite working together according to international guidelines, the differences are still large and you sometimes have to go outside your own comfort zone in order to progress.
